SEEK PEACE is the theme of the 101st German Katholikentag (a festival-like gathering organized by the German Catholic laity) holding in Muenster from 9th to 13th May, 2018.
Civil dignitaries, Cardinals, Bishops, priests, religious, many youths and lay adults in great numbers are attending the event from different parts of the world, cultures and religions. The Emir of Kanam, Alhaji Muhammadu Babangida Muazu, of Plateau State and I were invited specially to talk about how Inter-Religious dialogue can fruitfully contribute to peaceful co-existence. Various discussion sessions are being held. The Emir and I like the Imam from Ghana have participated in discussion panels and still have some to do.
The world needs peace and it is gratifying to note that conscious effort is being made by Nations (the presence of the President of Germany, Mr. Steinmeier, his wife and many secular dignitaries for two consecutive days is proof of this). Religious groups, non-governmental organizations and individuals must keenly go on doing everything possible to promote lasting global peace. Would you like to be part of this project? Be peaceful and be a true agent of peace.
