With the acquisition of 11 new radio broadcast licences, Nigeria joins over 70 nations to air Radio Maria, kick starting in Abuja. The Archbishop of Abuja, Most Rev. Ignatius A. Kaigama, was pleased to commission the Radio Maria station on Saturday, 30th April, 2022, located at 51 Mambolo Street, Zone 2, Wuse, Abuja. In attendance were delegates of the World Family of Radio Maria, Paolo Taffuri, Jean Paul Kayihura and Deacon Michael Wielath from Radio Horeb, Germany. Radio Maria Nigeria on broadcast frequency FM 91.3, provides rich Catholic content and other programmes to inform, educate, enlighten, entertain and edify its listeners. The radio signal, soon to be extended to some other dioceses in Nigeria, will help propagate the Gospel especially in the villages without access to electricity and social amenities, and also promote a culture of peace and reconciliation in Nigeria. We urge the general public to tune in and enjoy its rich resource.
