Over 1,200 Catholic women across Abuja Archdiocese came together at the Junior Secondary School, Gbessa, under the auspices of the Zumuntan Mata Katolika (Catholic Women Fellowship, Hausa speaking) for a 3-day prayer summit (4th-6th November 2022) with the theme: “Ubangiji yaji kukar jama’arsa ya kwa gan wahalarsu” (The Lord has heard the cry of His people and also seen their sufferings). In the opening Mass, the Archbishop, His Grace, Most Rev. Ignatius A. Kaigama, praised their dynamism and dedication to Church affairs within the Archdiocese. He described the women as “ever ready” and encouraged them to sustain their bond of unity and promote greater participation in the Church at all levels. – Fr. John Ilonah
